Membership Local Conditions

1. Maximum Reward:

The maximum reward may not exceed B/. 500.00/year.

 

2. Payment Methods and Currency

a. Payment methods accepted by PriceSmart.com: Visa, Master Card and Amex (debit card, credit card).

b. Payment currency at PriceSmart.com: US Dollars 

c. Payment methods accepted at Club cashiers: Cash in US Dollars, PriceSmart Visa, PriceCash, Gift Card, MasterCard, Visa, Amex,  Check *, Electronic Card Voucher Panama, General Voucher.

*Personal checks are not accepted. Business checks are accepted with prior verification.

 

3. Membership Prices*

Diamond Membership: Annual Payment US$ 40 + 7% ITBMS (Movable goods and services transfer tax), includes one card for the cardholder and an additional card.

Diamond Platinum Membership: Annual Payment US$ 80 + 7% ITBMS (Movable goods and services transfer tax), includes one card for the cardholder and an additional card.

Business Membership: Annual Payment US$ 40 +7% ITBMS (Movable goods and services transfer tax), includes card one for the cardholder and an additional card. Up to 3 additional cards available at US$ 15 + 7% ITBMS/each.

Business Platinum Membership: Annual Payment US$ 80 + 7% ITBMS (Movable goods and services transfer tax), includes one card for the cardholder and an additional card. Up to three additional cards available at US$ 20 + 7% ITBMS/each.

 

Membership prices are paid in US Dollars according to the exchange rate of the Central Bank of  Panama on the day of purchase. Check the amount in local currency at the exchange rate of the day on our  Membership page.

 

4. Online Purchase Rewards and Cashback accumulation

All purchases on pricesmart.com, PriceSmart app and any associated channels will accumulate Platinum membership rewards as per Membership terms and conditions. Members, holders of a co-branded credit card in Panama, will accumulate cashback for both their online and inclub purchases. 

 

5. Legal age to purchase/renew a membership, purchase alcohol and tobacco products

In Panama, a person is considered of legal age when they are 18 years of age or older. Online and in-club purchases of restricted items, including but not limited to alcohol and tobacco, must comply with the local legal age defined to acquire these goods, which, in the case of Panama, is 18 years of age or older.

1. About the cobranded credit card conditions during Smart Week

From November 20 to 26, 2023, buy at Zero Rate for up to 24 months with your PriceSmart Visa BAC credit cards on purchases from $100. Exclusive promotion for PriceSmart Visa BAC credit cards for physical purchases in PriceSmart clubs. The Zero Rate purchase is exclusive for BAC credit cards and includes a purchase in interest-free installments, as long as the customer makes the minimum payment plus the installments billed to their account statement before or on the day of the payment date. cash (rewardable). The purchase in Installments is linked to the credit limit available on the card, it is not Extra-financing. It is the customer's responsibility to choose the term at the time of purchase. 2. About the Home Delivery Service for Large Size and Heavy Weight Items

Home delivery is a service provided by PriceSmart to deliver orders and items that because of their size and weight (+9.5 cubic feet and/or +100lbs) are not eligible for Standard Delivery (Next day) or Express Delivery (Same Day). 

These deliveries are scheduled 3 times a week and follow the same distance limitation of that of our other delivery services. These may vary by country. 

For PriceSmart to provide the Home Delivery service some conditions must be met: 

1. Members must confirm that product or products purchased can be handled and pass through the access tunnel to your final address, whether they are door frames, elevators, stairs, corridors, or any other physical restriction of the property where the delivery will be made. 

2. The product will be left in the Lobby or first floor if it is delivered to a building. If the building has a suitable freight elevator within which the product can be transported, the delivery staff will help you get the item up to the designated floor. If the delivery is to a residence, the delivery personnel could deposit the product in the place selected by the member if the conditions mentioned previously are met. 

3. For the safety of the people in charge of the delivery and protection of the product, it will only be properly handled with its original packaging until the final delivery site. 

4. Once the product is at the disired adress, the member must remove the packaging and examine the product carefully, it must arrive in perfect condition without any damages.  If the member is satisfied, he or she must sign the delivery documents or the delivery application as proof that the item has beed delivered in perfect condition. 

5. If the item is not in perfect condition the member must not accept it and return it to the delivery personnel, detailing the reasons for non-acceptance in writing in the delivery form or application. 

6. The member must guarantee the reception and attention to the Home Delivery staff on the agreed delivery date. If the delivery cannot be concluded due to non-compliance or non-availability of the member, a second delivery will be scheduled with an additional charge that the member must pay. 

7. If the member lives an apartment or the delivery is any type of building, the member is responsible to comply with all restrictions and regulations.  In the case that the delivery can’t be executed because of a noncompliance with the building’s regulations; an additional charge would be made for failed delivery that must be assumed by the member. 

8. PriceSmart assumes the responsibility to deliver the purchased product in perfect condition to the address assigned by the member, only if the member complies with the conditions stated above. 

9. At the time of purchase, the member will be informed of the day of delivery, but not the exact time. 

10. Delivery personnel are not authorized to handle the product other than the delivery item(s). Tasks such as installations, disassembling doors or any other task will not be carried out. 

11. Products will not be delivered through entrances other than those of normal transit, PriceSmart does not perform entrance maneuvers through balconies, windows or accesses other than those of normal transit of the place of delivery. 

12. If the product cannot be delivered through the normal entrance tunnel, the product will be delivered to the property's concierge only with authorization and under the responsibility of the member. 

13. The delivery personnel will not receive any economic or any other incentive from the member, they are also not authorized to perform tasks other than the delivery and those specified in agreement  document. 

14. No packaged product will be delivered; PriceSmart´s responsibility is to deliver the product in optimal physical condition and unpack for the member to inspect. 

15. The delivery staff is committed to offer the best possible service to the member; PriceSmart´s interest is to provide the member with an outstanding shopping experience.  

16. The delivery service will only cover the urban area of ​​the city where the purchase was done. To verify coverage of other cities, please consult with sales floor staff or Click & Go Staff.

 

3. PriceSmart Tire Center Conditions

Tire/Battery Warranty Form 

Available to the original member who purchased Passenger and/or Truck/SUV tires that are purchased and installed at PriceSmart. Warranty covers manufacture defects on the tire tread area for tire(s) that are installed at PriceSmart. Warranty coverage is based on the remaining tread at the time of failure. The warranty does not apply to tires that are repairable. This plan is available under the following conditions: The member must be the original purchaser, have an active PriceSmart membership, ensure correct mechanical maintenance of their vehicle that does not directly affect the tires, and must present the original warranty form and invoice. 

PriceSmart Warranty Protection Plan 

The protection plan includes Rotations and Balances every 10,000 KMS or 6 months and flat/puncture repair at no cost as long as the damage and tire meet the recommended conditions for repair. (It is necessary to present this warranty form and original invoice for these services). 

PriceSmart will repair tires with tread damage no greater than ¼’ in diameter, and with more than 2/32 of an inch remaining tread (per tread gauge). The protection plan is not applicable on a tire(s) with cuts, non-repairable puncture or impact damage, including vandalism or damage incurred in accidents. 

This protection plan does not replace or modify any original manufacturer's warranty against defects in workmanship and material. When the protection plan is applied the member will be given credit for the purchase of a new tire on a pro-rated basis based on remaining tread of the tire. 

The usable tread of a tire is the original tread depth minus 2/32 of an inch, (according to tread gauge). 

The member must submit the claim to the PriceSmart club with their invoice and warranty form and the damaged tire must accompany the claim. Member is required to sign PriceSmart's return receipt. 

The Protection Plan does NOT cover: A) Damage due to vandalism or other intentional reason, B) Tires transferred and installed on a different vehicle, C) Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the vehicle or consequential damage, E) DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE TO SIDEWALLS OF THE TIRE. 

As a condition of this plan, the member is required to make sure that their vehicle is in optimal mechanical conditions and that the tires be properly installed, balanced, rotated, and operating at proper air pressure to obtain maximum mileage use from the tire. The air pressure of the tires including the spare should be checked at least once a month.

4. BAC Credomatic PriceSmart VISA Cashback Promo

10% CashBack promotion is valid from September 11 to September 18, 2023. Exclusive promotion when making a minimum purchase of $200 at PriceSmart.com in Panama when paying with the BAC Credomatic PriceSmart VISA credit card. Applies only for purchases at PriceSmart.com. Up to a maximum fee of $50 per account will be refunded. Does not apply to transactions in installments at 0% interest, nor for redemption of points, nor with other promotions. The CashBack will be reflected as a bonus until the second account statement after the purchase and after the credit card cut-off date. The client will have a period of 60 days from the end of the promotion to present to the bank any claim related to the promotion. Does not apply with other promotions. 6. TENA PANAMA WELLNESS PLAN REGULATIONS 

 

These regulations establish the terms and conditions that will govern the promotion called "Plan Bienestar Tena", in accordance with the following provisions: 

 

FIRST: OF THE OBJECT:  

The name of the present promotion is called “PROMOCIÓN PLAN BIENESTAR TENA” (hereinafter the “Promotion”), whose brand involved is TENA and consists of a loyalty plan in which participants may redeem one (1) participating product, under the terms and conditions expressly established in these regulations.  

 

SECOND: TERRITORY 

This promotion will be valid only in the Republic of Panama.  

 

THIRD: DEFINITIONS 

a) Organizer 

This Promotion is organized by the company ESSITY CENTROAMÉRICA, S.A., a company existing and constituted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, legal entity identification number 3-101-211115, with domicile at Centro Corporativo Plaza Roble, Los Balcones building, third floor; which hereinafter and for the purposes of these Regulations will be referred to as the "Organizer". 

 

b) Regulations  

Refers to the present document which regulates the terms and conditions of the Promotion. 

 

c) Participating Stores 

 

i. Stores for the acquisition of participating products: 

The participating stores where interested customers may purchase the products participating in this promotion shall be the pharmacies located within the establishments of the PriceSmart supermarket chain, specifically in the following seven (7) locations: (i) PriceSmart Vía Brasil; (ii) PriceSmart El Dorado; (iii) PriceSmart David, Chiriquí; (iv) PriceSmart Brisas del Golf; (v) PriceSmart Costa Verde; (vi) PriceSmart Santiago, Veraguas; (vii) PriceSmart Metro Park. 

  

ii. Stores for the redemption of the fourth free product:  

The participating stores where interested customers may redeem the fourth free product, in accordance with the terms and conditions of these regulations will be the establishments of the PriceSmart supermarket chain, only in the following two (2) locations: (i) PriceSmart El Dorado; (ii) PriceSmart Costa Verde. 

 

d) Participating products and brands  

The brand of the products participating in the promotion will be TENA, specifically in the following variants and presentations, namely: (i) TENA Pants Ultra Protect M, in a presentation of forty-eight (48) units; (ii) TENA Pants Ultra Protect G, in a presentation of forty-eight (48) units; (iii) TENA Slip Ultra Protect M, in a presentation of forty-eight (48) units; (iv) TENA Slip Ultra Protect G, in a presentation of forty-eight (48) units. Participant may purchase the participating products while supplies last.  

Hereinafter, for purposes of these regulations, they are referred to as the "Participating Products". No other brand, product, size, variant or presentation not expressly stated or indicated in these rules may be presumed to participate or generate any right within the Promotion. For clarification purposes, it is established that the letter "M" refers to "medium" or size medium and the letter "G" refers to "large" or large size. 

 

FOURTH: PARTICIPANTS 

Those interested in participating and applying for this Promotion must be natural persons, of legal age, with legal capacity to act and must prove their personal information to the full satisfaction of the Organizer with the appropriate documents for the case, specifically a valid identity card or passport. 

Any other participant such as legal entities, companies, associations, foundations, and social aid entities such as nursing homes and the like are totally excluded from this Promotion. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not demonstrate that he/she meets the requirements established in these rules to participate, without being subject to any liability claim for this act. 

The following persons may not participate: a) Employees, executives and officials of the organizer and its subsidiaries; b) Employees, executives and officials of advertising agencies and other suppliers contracted by the organizer; c) Officials of any of the companies involved in this promotion who by reason of their position may in any way influence the development of the promotion or the assignment of the prizes and d) Relatives up to second degree by blood or affinity of all of the above. 

 

FIFTH: TERM OF THE PROMOTION  

The Promotion will begin on June 01, 2024 at 00:00 a.m. and will end on September 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. 

 

SIXTH: MECHANICS 

a) User creation 

As a first step, interested customers must register only once as users on the www.planbienestar.com platform. Registration on said platform can be done from the comfort of their own home, cell phone or at the place of purchase. The participant may authorize third parties to make the purchase on his or her behalf. If a person has a user that is already registered in the program, he/she does not have to register again. 

 

b) Purchase mechanism 

The interested customers must purchase the TENA brand products, in the presentations established in the third clause, section d), of these rules, in any of the PriceSmart chain stores, described in the third clause, section c) i).  

Upon accumulating three (3) purchases of the same product, both in quantity and size, participants will be able to redeem one (1) product of the same size and type with a maximum of 48 units, while supplies last. Participants may accumulate the three (3) purchases in succession (on different days) or they may do it in the same purchase. 

The redemption applies only to the product line, does not apply to special offers or additional parts.   

Interested customers must go to the participating store enabled for the redemption - described in the third clause, section c). ii. - and provide the receipt of the purchase, which must be in good condition and legible. Credit card vouchers will not be accepted as proof of purchase. 

 

c) Purchase Activation 

The participant must activate his/her purchase(s) only through the clerk or cashier of the participating store where the purchase is made. The participant will have thirty (30) days to register his/her purchase, starting the count period on the day of purchase of the product. 

The participant will be able to enter the digital platform and check his/her active purchases and redemptions at any time during the validity of this promotion. 

For all purposes of accreditation and purchase activation, it will be essential to show a valid identity document in good condition and the purchase receipt, since these documents will be indispensable and necessary to activate the purchase. 

 

d) Limitations 

  1. Only five (5) redemptions per person per month will be allowed. 

  1. The participating receipts will be those for purchases made only during the term of the promotion and for purchases made only at participating establishments, as described in clause three, section c.) i. 

  1. Purchases that differ in the size or quantity of presentations, or any other variation not established in clause three, section d.) of these rules will not be counted as valid purchases. 

  1. Redemptions that are not redeemed after the end of this Promotion will be forfeited. 

  1. This promotion does not apply over other promotions and/or discounts not included in these regulations.  

  1. The giveaway or redemption product will have a hidden bar code and will be marked as a product with no commercial value in the case of Price Smart stores. 

  1. Purchases must be made at the same participating supermarket/pharmacy chains; therefore, the interested customer may not combine purchases from different participating establishments. 

  1. The redemption applies for the purchase of a Bonus Pack product, however the redemption will be for a product of the product line. 

  1. The redemption product does not apply for royalties.  

  1. The redemption product will be until the end of the promotion or while supplies last. 

 

SEVENTH: PERSONAL DATA 

The participants freely, specifically, in an informed manner and expressly give their consent to the collection of their personal data of a non-sensitive nature and authorize the Organizer to access such information and its inclusion in a database, if any, also authorizing the use of such database to send commercial information of the organizing company or third parties, as well as any commercial purpose of the company's entities that is not prohibited in accordance with the principle of quality of information and suitability for the purpose. Likewise, participants shall have the right to request rectification of their data or deletion from the database that the organizer or third parties have collected and processed. 

Personal data provided to the Organizer, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates for the purpose of the Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of identification of the Participant in this promotion. If the Organizer transfers the personal data to a third party that requires to know the same, the Organizer shall require the third party to comply with the confidentiality and protection in accordance with the legislation in force and applicable to the matter in the Republic of Panama. 

The responsible for the database is the Organizer, ESSITY CENTROAMÉRICA, S.A., whose address is San José, Escazú, San Rafael, Centro Corporativo Plaza Roble, Edificio Los Balcones, Third Floor. The owner of the personal data may exercise against the Organizer all rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition of these. The request by means of which it is intended to exercise the aforementioned rights must be sent to the person in charge of the processing of personal data of the Promotion to the following e-mail address: info@planbienestar.com  

 

EIGHTH: IMAGE RIGHTS 

The Organizer may request the consent of the participants for the use of their voice and image to be used in television programs, publications in Tena's social network platforms, and other advertising media and in general in any means of dissemination for purposes related to this promotion, either during the promotional period or after its expiration, and the owner may revoke such consent. This authorization will not imply any obligation to remunerate or compensate the participant. 

 

NINTH: RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PARTIES 

No provision of this Promotion shall be construed as creating a relationship between the parties other than that which arises from the normal course of trade. No participant or winner of the promotion, by virtue of being a participant, acquires the status of employee, representative or agent of the Organizing company. Failure to comply with the obligations set forth in these regulations will terminate the relationship between the parties in its entirety. 

 

TENTH: LIABILITY 

The Organizer is only responsible for the delivery of the benefits indicated in these Regulations. The beneficiary will be responsible for the use and enjoyment of the same. By registering, participants release the organizer, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates, and others involved in this promotion, including the Commercial Ally, as well as its executives, employees, representative or agents from liability for any damage arising indirectly as a consequence of their participation in the promotion, or resulting directly or indirectly from their acceptance, withdrawal or possession of the prize, or from the fact that their identity is made public by the fact of having participated and/or won in the promotion. 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Organizer is expressly released from liability for: 

(a) Expenses incurred to participate in the promotion, to cash the prize or to enjoy it;  

b) Unauthorized human interventions by third parties to the computer systems or similar that alter the development of the promotion; 

c) Damages suffered of any kind or nature by virtue of this promotion or during the enjoyment of the benefit.  

d) Eventual suspension of the event. 

 

ELEVENTH: RESTRICTIONS 

i. Restrictions apply to this Promotion; therefore all parts of this Promotion are subject to the requirements and restrictions of these Rules and Regulations. 

ii. Purchases made at participating stores, as described in clause three, section c.) i., will be considered valid.  

iii. For the delivery of the unit(s) subject of the exchange, the participant must present his/her valid and undamaged identity document. 

iv. Purchases may be made at the locations of the participating stores described in clause three, section c.) i. and the redemption may only be made at the participating stores described in clause three, section c.) ii. Purchases made at different supermarket/pharmacy chains will not be counted. 

v. Any irregularity detected, in the broadest sense, in the process of this Promotion, entitles the Organizer to suspend all or part of the Promotion, without generating any liability for such suspension. 

vi. The Organizer or the participating stores will not be responsible for the expenses incurred by the participants in the redemption of the products. 

vii. The Organizer's employees, their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity, the Organizer's personnel, external officials, and suppliers involved in the Promotion are not eligible to participate. 

viii. This promotion does not apply on top of other promotions and/or discounts. 

ix. The Organizer, representatives or any natural or legal person related to this Promotion shall not be liable if the participant enters erroneous data in the platform that prevents the activation or confirmation of the purchase. 

x. The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Regulations at any time in order to introduce all those modifications necessary for the smooth running of the promotion. 

xi. In order to make public the result of the Promotion, participants expressly authorize Essity Consumidor Centroamérica, S.A. so that their names may appear in newspapers, social networks and other advertising materials for subsequent dissemination, which includes the right of the Organizer to take photos and/or video of the winners and make them public, without being entitled to obtain any additional compensation, the foregoing to give veracity and publicity to the results of the Promotion.

3. Promotion Mechanics: For every purchase of five (5) units of the same participating product, the customer will receive an additional unit of the same product for free, or they can redeem the equivalent points for another product at no additional cost. 

To participate, the customer must: 

  • Register at www.aboxplan.com or request registration at a participating pharmacy. 

  • Upload the corresponding purchase invoices for the participating products through their ABOX account. 

  • Once the necessary points have been accumulated, they can generate a redemption coupon for the free product. 

  • The accreditation of points will be available within a maximum period of 48 hours after the invoice is registered in the system. 

4. Redemption of the Product without cost: The redemption of the not cost product is subject to product availability at the pharmacy at the time of the request. To redeem the coupon, the customer must present the coupon generated in ABOX and the original purchase invoice at a participating pharmacy. 

5. Promotion Period: This promotion is valid from November 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025.
