About our Cybersecurity Issue

PriceSmart, Inc. (“PriceSmart”) discovered that an unknown, unauthorized third party gained access to PriceSmart’s systems for a limited time during October 2024. Upon discovery, we promptly contained the incident and initiated an internal investigation. Based on the investigation, we undertook a comprehensive review of the contents of the files to determine what, if any, personal information they contained.

Cyber incidents on companies are growing increasingly common, and unfortunately, PriceSmart is no exception to this, but we are pleased to report that there was only a minimum impact on our Membership base and the company already notified those affected by the security incident and provided them with the information to protect themselves and their data.

We recognize the heightened risk of cyber threats, and we continue to make investments in technology, people, and processes to strengthen our systems and processes on an ongoing basis. To date, PriceSmart has confirmed the security of its computer systems and network.

We value the trust that our Members and employees place in PriceSmart to protect the privacy and security of their information.
