1. Why will the current co-branded card no longer be valid in DR?

We are in a transition period with our current partner bank, after the transition period is complete, we will have a product that will better fit the needs of our Members and our strategy of always providing them with the best solution, with excellent benefits.

1. When should we expect the current card to lose its validity?

The PriceSmart Visa credit card will no longer be valid starting on July 1st, 2025, and consequently will no longer accrue PriceCash points. 

1. How does this change affect Members?

Members will not be affected during the transition period. Starting on June 30, 2025, members will no longer be able to accrue PriceCash points. Soon, we will be announcing a new proposal for a payment method with great added value, designed exclusively for our members.

1. What is the reason for this change on the visa card?

PriceSmart is continuously looking for innovative ways to offer a different and exclusive shopping experience, and, by mutual agreement between Scotiabank and PriceSmart, the issuance of this product is being discontinued.

1. Will Members lose the PriceCash they have already accrued from their purchases?

No, PriceCash will continue to accrue for purchases until June 30, 2025, and, as of July 1, 2025, PriceCash points will no longer accrue. However, Members will have ample time to redeem their PriceCash in the following dates:

• PriceCash accrued as of January 30, 2025: Members may redeem from March 1 through June 30, 2025.
• PriceCash accrued from February 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025: Members will have from August 1 to October 31, 2025.

1. Is it better to redeem your PriceCash points as soon as possible?

PriceCash rewards are now available at all PriceSmart clubs in the Dominican Republic. Members can redeem their rewards from March 1 until the following dates below:

• PriceCash accrued as of January 30, 2025: Members may redeem from March 1 through June 30, 2025.
• PriceCash accrued from February 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025: Members will have from August 1 to October 31, 2025.

1. Will the current card change for Members?

Scotiabank will be communicating with partners to offer them another private label credit card option. PriceSmart, will soon announce a new product of great value for our Members. 

1. Where can Members see the total amount of PriceCash points they have accrued?

The total PriceCash accrued can be viewed on your credit card statement.

1. Can Members convert their PriceCash to ScotiaClub points?

No, your PriceCash points are only valid to be redeemed directly at PriceSmart Clubs located within the Dominican Republic. 

1. Do you have any other cards that offer PriceCash benefit to Members? 

No, but we are currently working on a project to be able to offer it. We will have more information about it soon!

1. Can I redeem my rewards at Clubs located in other countries?

During the validity of the campaign, redemption of the PriceCash reward can only be completed at PriceSmart Clubs located in the Dominican Republic.

1. What happens if I do not claim my PriceCash reward?

If you do not redeem your accrued PriceCash during the redemption period of March 1 to June 30, 2025, this reward will expire, and you will not be able to redeem it.

1. Is there a minimum or maximum redemption amount?

The minimum redemption amount per year is 600.00 PriceCash and the maximum is 30,000.00 PriceCash for the total consumption of the main Member and that of their cards issued (if they have them).
